Dr. Garth Webb

Optometrist

Dr. Webb is a 1977 graduate of the University of Waterloo, School of Optometry and co-founded the Complete EyeCare Optometry Clinic in the fall of that year. Dr. Webb has the distinction of being the youngest Chair in the history of the Board of Examiners in Optometry and is the recipient of the 2004 BCAO Optometrist of the Year Award.

Outside private practice, Dr. Webb continues to work in research and product development. He holds a list of international patents that advance the capabilities of intraocular lenses and cameras. This work now finalized, will help people recover normal vision at all viewing distances without requiring eyeglasses.

Driven by a desire to help people enjoy “perfect” vision under all conditions, Dr. Webb has founded an initiative called the Celebration of Sight. The Celebration of Sight is an international connection of eye doctors and corporations dedicated to elevate standards of patient care and to fortify the workforce required to bring this transforming technology forward.
