Dr. Surjinder Sahota
Born and raised in Williams Lake, Dr. Surjinder Sahota entered her undergraduate Bio-Psychology program at the University of British Columbia. In 1996, she was accepted into the Doctor of Optometry program at the Illinois College of Optometry (ICO). In 2000, Dr. Sahota graduated from ICO with Cum Laude honours.
After she graduated from ICO, she was accepted into a prestigious residency program at the Illinois Eye Institute in Ocular Disease/Primary Care. She had the unique opportunity to work with world renowned ophthalmologists from the University of Chicago. After completing her residency, Dr. Sahota went back to her hometown of Williams Lake to practice Optometry until December 2006. She then joined Complete EyeCare Optometry in January 2007.
Dr. Sahota has been the president of the British Columbia Association of Optometrists since February 2011 and has served on the board since 2008. She has a passion for public education and has worked with the public relations committee in helping educate patients about the importance of eye health and preservation of vision. When Dr. Sahota is not serving her fellow optometrists or her patients she enjoys spending time with her family.
Dr. Sahota is dedicated to providing comprehensive eye exams to patients of the Fraser Valley and welcomes new patients.
